The Philipine Reality Check

We live in a critical world. As we people living in a certain country, we always aimed to have a peaceful nation for us to have a better life. Lots of people dream for it, especially us Filipinos whose country that is prone to terrorism and corruption. What then comes into our minds is "abroad". "To dream a better country and living into another place because we think it solves our problems in financial, unity and peace, doesn't agree with my principles in life", because living in our birthplace is better than to migrate, for i still believe and dream that our country will progress.

There are a loot of Pinoys leave the Philippines to work abroad thinking that it will eradicate the poverty and to a greener pasture. But the reality check, families are broken, there children are mislead and wives or husbands are having new ones. Though we cannot generalize that this is true to every Filipino families whose partner is in abroad. However, this is often to happen to the families of the Overseas Filipino Workers. I do not ignore the contribution of our OFWs into our country but" the government is supposed to find ways in providing jobs for the people". This is a great challenge to the Philippine Government leaders in decreasing the high rate of unemployment which is the customary reason why there is a number of Filipinos who emigrates. Another reality in the Philippines is that, our country is not an overnight process, but it is a time- consuming process. Hence if we want changes, we can achieve it. Do not wait changes to happen, rather make better changes to happen. It should start from ourselves first to a better person. Be an agent for a better change for our country's progress. Lead a good example in your family. As Saint Therese of Calcutta once ask a question ; "Do you want to contribute peace in the world"? She then answer," go home and love your Family". This is easier said than done for it needs an effort and perseverance of ones self but we can do it. I just hope and pray that our leaders are also thinking for the better changes in our country  that they will serve not for their own benefits but, for the common good of every Filipino people.
